"That certainly has been portrayed differently depending upon how it’s considered."

MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell confronted Hillary Clinton during an interview that aired Friday over the Democrat's claim that former Secretary of State Colin Powell, like her, used private email during his tenure at the State Department.

“You have said Colin Powell did the same thing. He actually had a personal email and a State.gov official email system. So, he didn’t just rely on a personal system,” Mitchell told Clinton. “I don’t think there’s any precedent for anyone just relying on a personal email system at your level of government.”

Clinton replied, “Well, I can’t speak for him.”

“That certainly has been portrayed differently depending upon how it’s considered,” she added before changing the subject from her Powell claim. “This was fully above board, people knew I was using a personal email; I did it for convenience.”
