Another Parting Message? The Last Account David Bowie Followed on Twitter Was 'God

There might be another message Bowie left for fans to analyze.

David Bowie passed away Jan. 10 after an 18-month battle with cancer. A big news subject following the iconic British singer’s death has been his final music video, “Lazarus,” released just days before he passed.

“Look up here, I’m in heaven,” the song begins. Bowie viewed his last album as a “parting gift to the world,” and many have deemed “Lazarus” his final message.

There might be another message Bowie left for fans to analyze. After his death, Bowie fans on Twitter noticed the last account @DavidBowieReal followed was "God."

It’s uncertain whether it was Bowie or an individual managing his account who followed @TheTweetofGod. While fans may still read this as another message from the beloved style icon and musical innovator, it is important to note that it is unclear when Bowie’s account followed “God” and that @TheTweetofGod is a comedy account promoting "Will & Grace" star Sean Hayes' new play.
