The Internet Is Losing Its Mind Trying to Agree on How Many Girls Are Actually in This Photo
March 17, 2016
Are there four girls? Three? Two?
Social media users have been stumped once again by another online illusion after Swiss photographer Tiziana Vergari posted one to Instagram last week.
After a series of illusion puzzles went viral across social media platforms, including the one of a lone panda amidst a legion of snowmen and the infamous dress photo, the Swiss photographer posted the following picture to her Instagram showing a line of girls sitting against a white wall wearing identical dresses.

Since it was posted last week, the Internet has gone berserk trying to determine just how many girls are actually in the picture, as there appears to be a mirror located somewhere in the photo. Some 13,500 people have already liked the photo, which has garnered nearly 900 comments since it first took the Internet by storm.
Are there four girls? Three? Two? Where exactly is the mirror located? Is there just one mirror, or are there two or three? The Internet found no consensus.
"It's obviously 2," wrote one person.
"There are 4 girls, the first one closest to the camera, the 2nd one has her head turned looking at the 3rd whose head isn't on the same plane as the 2nd and the 4th girl is looking in the mirror. The 4th girls' point of view in her eyes is different, she's looking at the camera whereas the first one is looking up screen past the camera," wrote another.
"1st girl has collar lining (Or whatever it's called) on both sides, 4th girl has it only on 1 side," another reasoned.
"For those who are saying the bracelet is not there on the 'third girl,' the bracelet is on her right arm which is being covered by her left, hence the reason why you can't see it in the reflection," another noted.
"3 girls. Fourth girl hair is differently vs. First girl in pic. Second and third girl in pic are same," another said.
"People, nothing confusing about this. There's two girls here," another commented.
Vergari herself eventually commented in an attempt to clear up any lasting confusion.
