Berkeley protesters blocking footbridge let people of color pass. White people? They're given a two-word command.

The protesters linked arms across Sather Gate.

Protesters at the University of California, Berkeley were seen on video blocking the entrance to a high-traffic footbridge on campus as part of a demonstration for transgender safe spaces, among other demands.

The protesters — who linked arms across Sather Gate starting on Friday, Heat Street said — reportedly let people of color through their human chain.

But white people were apparently out of luck.

Their option? "Go around! Go around!" the group chanted.

And apparently the white pedestrians obeyed the protesters' detour command:

Later in the clip, a mock eviction notice was placed on buildings, Heat Street reported:

You are hereby notified by the students of the University of California, Berkeley to vacate the premises immediately. University administration wrongly allocated this two-story facility to a third-party corporations, keeping in line with its intensifying legacy of prioritizing financial profit over student needs.

The notice, the outlet said, added that "the work that these student-run spaces produce to recruit and retain students of color and provide support for the LGBTQIIA+ student community is invaluable and must be affirmed by the university.”

Here's the clip. (Content warning: Some profanity):
