After Trump takes oath, college group to host 'Self-Care Night' with Legos, juice boxes 'and more!

A Georgetown University LGBT student group is hosting a “Self-Care Night” featuring "Legos, juice boxes, and more!" on the Monday following the inauguration of Republican President-elect Donald Trump — recognizing what students have been through "after a long week."

GUPride — the Washington, D.C., school's "LGBTQ Student organization" that "provides programming, resources, and support for the Georgetown University LGBTQ and Allied community" — reportedly sent a Welcome Back email, which was obtained by Campus Reform, that further describes the event in a section titled "Post-inauguration self-care."

Apparently stuffed animals and coloring books are also on the agenda:

“Join GUPride for a night of relaxation, recovery, and rest after a long week,” the section states, Campus Reform said. “There will be legos and stuffed animals and coloring books — come to embrace the inner child and hang out with people :)”

The GUPride Facebook page indicates the "Self-Care Night" is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. on Jan. 23. The email Campus Reform said it obtained indicates it will take place in the Herman Room of the HFSC — the Healey Family Student Center.

Campus Reform said it reached out to GUPride for comment but did not immediately hear back from the group.
