Aaron Rodgers challenges 'Mr. Pfizer,' Travis Kelce, and Dr. Fauci to debate him and RFK Jr. on the vaccine

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers issued a challenge to vaccine promoter Travis Kelce and Dr. Anthony Fauci to debate the coronavirus vaccines after mocking Kelce's vaccine commercial.

Rodgers made the suggestion while being interviewed on the "Pat McAfee Show" after he referred to Kelce as "Mr. Pfizer" on a previous interview.

"Mr. Pfizer said he didn't think he would be in a vax war with me. He didn't think he'd be in a vax war with me," said Rodgers.

"This ain't a war, homie," he added. "This is just conversation. But if you want to have some sort of duel, debate, have me on the podcast, come on the show. Let's have a conversation."

He went on to say that they should pair up in the debate and chose Robert F. Kennedy, the independent presidential candidate and vaccine skeptic, as his debate partner.

"I'm gonna take my man RFK Jr., right, and he can have Tony Fauci or some other pharmacrat, and we can have a conversation about this!" he laughed.

Rodgers also mocked those who were triggered by his joke calling Kelce "Mr. Pfizer" on the previous podcast episode.

"Was that not incredible last week, people getting absolutely triggered?" Rodgers said.

"I made a tiny little joke about a guy shilling for a potentially (it's not potentially) corrupt company, and everybody kinda loses their minds a little bit," he added.

Rodgers was expected to give an enormous boost to the Jets' playoff chances, but those hopes were dashed when he suffered a season-ending injury only four plays into his first game in New Jersey. The Jets went on to win that game without Rodgers but have only won one other game since then.
