Teen girl's ear bitten off in brawl over stolen vape pen at 4th of July party

Two young women allegedly fought in a wild brawl at a Florida house party, with one of the women pulling a gun on the other after accusations of stolen vape pens were made.

A smirking teen was photographed with a head bandage as she posed for a mug shot following a violent altercation that saw her ear partially bitten off.

Both 18-year-old Dixie Stiles and 23-year-old Macy Regan were arrested for their involvement in the July 4, 2023, group fight at a house party. Bay County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived at an event hosted by unsupervised minors that included a fight between several men over stolen smoking devices and booze.

After midnight, Regan was stopped from leaving by Stiles, who accused the older and larger girl of stealing alcohol and vape pens. Regan allegedly pulled a 9mm handgun out of her waistband, but the smaller Stiles was able to get the gun away from her counterpart before the fight formally began.

Regan allegedly bit off the top of Stiles' ear, and unfortunately it was not able to be reattached, deputies reported.

Stiles was charged with battery, but Regan faced an elevated charge of felony battery causing bodily harm. An investigation is ongoing.

Regan, who had a black eye in her police photograph, appeared to be at least 5'6", while the younger Stiles stood at about 5'1". Both reportedly suffered multiple bruises and lacerations.

It was revealed that Regan lived just a couple steps away from where the fight happened at unit 6526 and was trying to return to her unit, 6530.

In 2021, a different Florida resident had his ear bitten off by a tourist at a hotel. The victim was on vacation with a group of friends when one of the women in the group passed out drunk. The accused, who was also in the group, began pushing the woman around in a wheelbarrow while dumping beer on her as he insulted her.

When the victim and other women tried to step in, the man pushed the women to the ground and choked the victim and bit his ear off, according to CBS Miami.
