Get ready for much more Ocasio-Cortez social media — she's teaching Democrats how to tweet just like her

This is the future that liberals want

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) will be expanding her social media imprint greatly by teaching her fellow Democratic politicians how to tweet, Instagram and Facebook just like she does.

The democratic socialist firebrand has been lauded for her prowess on social media, but despite being criticized by the Democratic establishment, they are seeking lessons from her on how to go viral.

According to USA Today, the House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee will host a session on Thursday with Ocasio-Cortez and Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.).

Ocasio-Cortez has garnered over 2.42 million followers, an astounding number that eclipses the total number of followers for all the rest of the freshman Democrats in Congress put together.

"Alexandria has very quickly built a national progressive following," said Himes, who has a following more typical among politicians, with only 76,000 followers.

Ocasio-Cortez confirmed the news from her Twitter account, saying, "Perks of being in the Democratic Caucus: I will be teaching a Twitter class tomorrow morning open to all members."

"The older generation of members and senators is pretty clueless on the social media platforms," Himes explained. "It's pretty clear that a lot of members have 25-year-olds in their offices, [running their social media.]"

Ocasio-Cortez has gotten into many social media scuffles with her political critics and opponents, including Donald Trump Jr., among others.

In November, she fired back an angry response to Sen.Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) after he commented on her comparing Honduran caravan migrants to Jews in Nazi Germany.

"I recommend she take a tour of the Holocaust Museum in D.C.," Graham tweeted.

"If you can't take the heat, then get out of the kitchen," Ocasio-Cortez said to CNN host Anderson Cooper about social media. "And people know that if you're going to come after me, you're opening yourself up."

Here's Ocasio-Cortez discussing her social media habits:
