Lake City Police Department officers told WCJB-TV they found a 31-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound at a home on Southwest Leslie Glen around 11 p.m. Lake City is a little over an hour west of Jacksonville.
Officers added to the station that the male broke into the home while multiple people — including children — were inside. WCJB added that the intruder reportedly knew the victims.

Officers are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact Detective Pepin at 386-719-5749, the station said.
