Pennsylvania police on the hunt for man who reportedly urinated all over Starbucks merchandise

Why would anyone do such a thing?

The Manheim Township Police Department in Pennsylvania is seeking to identify a man who they say entered a Lancaster County Starbucks and urinated on the store merchandise.

What are the details?

According to police, the unidentified man urinated on Starbucks store merchandise and in a sink behind the counter Saturday evening.

The man reportedly exited the Starbucks, which is located inside a Target store in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, with a large, visible wet stain on the front of his shorts.

The Manheim Township Police Department issued a news release on the incident, which read:

At 9:45 p.m., on Saturday, August 17, 2019, the depicted male entered the Starbucks inside the Target at 1589 Fruitville Pike in Manheim Township. The male walked behind the counter of the employee section, and urinated into a sink and onto several pieces of merchandise. The male then fled the store. Note the wet spot observable on the male's shorts.

Police ask that anyone with any information on the man's identity call authorities at 717-569-6401 or submit a tip online.

What else?

This is the latest incident in a growing trend of people urinating on merchandise and consumables in public places.

Other incidents have occurred at Walmarts in Pennsylvania and Texas in July.

A woman was charged with charged with criminal mischief, lewdness, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness after turning herself in for urinating in a bin of potatoes in the Pennsylvania Walmart store.

Authorities also charged a 15-year-old boy who reportedly urinated on a shelf in a Texas Walmart store. Further details about the incident were not available because the suspect is a minor.

That same month, authorities charged a Florida woman with tampering with food after she reportedly urinated in an ice cream churning machine. Authorities also accused the woman of spitting in the ice cream shop's products.
