Sean Spicer, Anthony Scaramucci, and Reince Priebus are out. Is Steve Bannon next to go?
After a sudden White House shake up in less than the span of a week, rumors are swirling that suggest chief strategist Steve Bannon is next in line to be "voted off the island."
To add to the speculation, President Trump sent out a vague tweet following Priebus’s resignation over the weekend:
“I love reading about all of the "geniuses" who were so instrumental in my election success. Problem is, most don't exist. #Fake News! MAGA,” he wrote.
Bannon was a fierce opponent of Scaramucci’s appointment to White House the communications director post and an ardent Priebus ally.
Scaramucci’s appointment is evidence that Bannon’s influence over Trump has diminished significantly since the president took office in January. Bannon is often credited for Trump’s rise to the presidency, a claim Trump fervently denies.
Today on “Pat & Stu,” the guys discussed Bannon’s future in the Trump White House and mounting tensions.
