Larry Salzman, an attorney at the Institute for Justice, describes how the federal government has completely violated the rights of US citizens for over 30 years. The former deputy chief of the Asset Forfeiture Office at the Department of Justice, David Smith, says expanding forfeiture enforcement was originally used as a weapon to fight the war on drugs.
