Watch: Two real-life ‘horse soldiers’ open up about their mission to battle the Taliban

Opening this weekend, “12 Strong” is a movie based on the true story of a U.S. Special Forces team sent to Afghanistan to work with local forces to battle the Taliban and Al Qaeda.
On today’s show, real-life horse soldiers Mark Nutsch and Bob Pennington joined “The Morning Blaze” crew to talk about their incredible mission to help the Afghan Army to defeat the Taliban after the Sept. 11 attacks. The Special Forces team members were on the ground in Afghanistan by mid-October to work with local allies.
As former military members, Kris and Jason made sure to stop by for their fair share of questions about the declassified true story that became the book “Horse Soldiers.” Listen to the full interview here:
