Christian rapper Bryson Gray's song 'Like Eminem' banned from Spotify — the song asks why his songs get banned but Eminem's don't

A song by Christian conservative rapper Bryson Gray was banned by Spotify, the artist announced on Twitter.

"Well, it’s official. My song 'Like Eminem' has been banned in everything except for my personal YouTube channel as of now. I wonder who has been reporting it? I’m used to it though," Gray remarked.

The song received the dreaded greyed-out status on Spotify, meaning it is no longer available. It also appears to be deleted from Apple Music as well.

"The page you're looking for cannot be found," a link to the song's page reads. The video version of the song is still listed on Gray's YouTube channel, however.

Gray's song "Like Eminem" contains controversial lyrics and points to the fact that many of Eminem's songs contain similar lyrics, but do not get banned.

"I find it funny that my songs get banned for offending the LGBT but, but Eminem used to threaten them in his songs and his music is still up. I got the answer, I can make a song like Eminem," Gray said in the song's intro.

"Eminem threatened gay people in his songs, I'm not that bad, I just want to deport them to Iran or Baghdad. I mean, they wanna leave anyway, why are they that mad? I'm not mean, I just got some questions I wanna ask f**s," the lyrics continued.

Comparatively, Eminem's song "Marshall Mathers," which is still available on uncensored on Spotify, contains the following lyrics:

"I was put here to put fear in f****ts who spray Faygo Root Beer and call themselves clowns 'cause they look queer ... And I don't wrestle, I'll knock you f***ing f****ts the f*** out." Followed by "I don't get f***ed in mine like you two little flamin' f****ts."

Gray has never advocated for removing other artists' songs from streaming platforms; rather, he has remarked that he has received unfair treatment.

When his song "Safe Space ft. Patriot J" was removed by Spotify in June 2021, Gray remarked, “Remember y’all, you can rap about anything you want except going against the LGBT."

In October 2021, Gray's iTunes chart-topping hit "Let's Go Brandon" was banned from YouTube. The song, which charted on four separate Billboard charts, mocked President Biden but was removed for "medical misinformation."

The song also contained a sound bite from the president in which he said, "You're not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations."

Gray was not immediately available for comment.

Apple Music and Spotify did not respond to request for comment.
