Another Oil Rig Explosion

One person reported injured as oil rig explodes in Gulf off Louisiana.

USA Today has the story:

An oil rig has exploded in the Gulf of Louisiana, WDSU reports. Thirteen workers aboard the rig were reportedly thrown into the water, but have been accounted for. One person is reported injured.

More from The Hill.

UPDATE:

Press Secretary Robert Gibbs commented on the explosion during today's press briefing. Via Politico:

The oil rig off the Louisiana coast that reported a fire is "not a deepwater facility" and "was not in active production," Gibbs said. "We will continue to gather information as we respond," he said, adding that he didn't know if Obama, who was in a Situation Room meeting when the news broke, had been told.
