A fire has engulfed part of a New York City train bridge used to protect the bridge from passing boats. According to reports, a malfunctioning transformer may have caused the fire late this morning.
The fire has caused major train delays coming in and out of Grand Central Station. According to ABC News, no injuries were reported and the fire department said marine units were "hitting the fire" with water.
Smoke from the blaze could be seen as far away as New Jersey:
