Romney comments on Chen Guangcheng

While campaigning in Virginia today Mitt Romney took a second to comment on the controversy surrounding Chen Guancheng, the Chinese dissident who escaped from prison and is seeking asylum in the U.S.

“If these reports are true, this is a dark day for freedom,” Romney said.

He's right. Since this whole thing started, the people of China aren't even allowed to Google "Shawshank" anymore.

Romney added that "it’s a day of shame for the Obama administration."
