Andrew Wilkow began his show on Monday thanking all the veterans who have served, and those still serving to protect our country and Americans abroad. Honoring and protecting veterans is an important obligation of the president and American taxpayer. Wilkow noted that in his Veterans Day speech at Arlington National Cemetery Sunday, President Barack Obama focused on those who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
"This is the first Veterans Day in a decade in which there are no American troops fighting and dying in Iraq; 33,000 of our troops have now returned from Afghanistan and the transition there is under way," Obama said. "As they come home, it falls to us, their fellow citizens, to be there for them and their family."
