Is This the Coolest, Most Ingenious Résumé You've Ever Seen?

"This is my friend's resume. He got the job."

It’s a tough job market out there and unless you start thinking outside the box, it’s not going to get any easier.

That appears to be the thinking behind this ingenious candy bar-inspired résumé posted to Reddit on Thursday:

Reddit

“This is my friend's resume. He got the job,” the photo caption reads.

The enterprising job hunter, "Nick," made 12 crunch bars in all, according to Reddit user elilanger.

But here's the coolest part: Look at the UPC code. Notice anything?

"According to the internet, '3 01130 01980 2' it is not a valid UPC," writes user TheSemiTallest.

"However, looking at the groups of numbers reveals the dates 11/30 and 1980, and the two outside numbers are 32. If I had to guess, I would say that this guys is 32 years old, and his birthday is 11/30/1980," the user adds.

Speaking for "Nick," elilanger responds: 'This is great that someone picked up on this. My birthday is 11-30-80, but the 32 was for my "favorite number" (huge Magic Johnson fan)."

Pretty ingenious, right?

Anyway, in case you were wondering, "Nick" claims he landed a marketing position with a New York City-based company called Sportsvite.

"Sportsvite is an online community for adult recreation athletes, allowing them to meet fellow sports enthusiasts in their area and providing them with a platform to manage their rec sports teams," the Reddit thread reads.
