OKLAHOMA CITY (TheBlaze/AP) — Tornadoes rolled in from the prairie and slammed Oklahoma City and its suburbs, trapping people in their vehicles as a storm swept down an interstate highway while commuters tried to beat it home.

In the first shot, the expanse of the monster twister is seen from a (relatively) safe distance as it cuts across the earth:
