President Barack Obama publicly released the White House visitor logs in recent years, providing some insight into the most frequent visitors of the president’s residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Inside Gov recently went through the data to find the 25 people who have visited the Obama White House the most since 2009 — and the group made several interesting discoveries.
“Interestingly, the person who visited the White House the third-most is someone we couldn't find any information on,” Inside Gov notes.
His name is James C. Hoff, and he seems to be shrouded in mystery.
The person who visited the White House the second-most is listed as Marilyn B. Tavenner, a key figure in the botched rollout of Obamacare. She resigned in 2015.
Here’s a look at the top 25.
25. Chiquita N. Brooks-LaSure
Brooks-LaSure has visited the White House 249 times, according to White House data compiled by Graphiq. Brooks-LaSure is the deputy director of policy and regulation for the Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
24. Thomas P. Maloney
Maloney, a senior adviser for the Treasury Department’s Office of Legislative Affairs, has visited the White House 254 times.
23. Sharon N. Werner
As chief of staff and counselor to the Office of the U.S. Attorney General, Werner visited the White House on 255 separate occasions.
22. Marie J. Williams
Williams, a White House liaison for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is listed as having visited the White House 258 times since 2009.
21. Jonathan M. Davis
Serving as the executive director of strategy and organizational development at the IRS, Davis also stopped by the White House 258 times. This is during the time the Obama administration was dealing with the IRS scandal involving the targeting of conservative groups.
20. Aryana C. Khalid
Khalid visited the White House 272 times as chief of staff to the administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
19. Margaret L. Richardson
Richardson, who served as the chief of staff at the U.S. Department of Justice from 2012 to 2015, visited the White House 281 times.
18. Michael A. Zubrensky
Deputy Assistant Attorney General Michael A. Zubrensky is recorded as visiting the White House a total of 284 times since 2009.
17. Richard G. Kronick
Kronick, director of Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, visited the White House 288 times.
16. William B. Schultz
Schultz stopped by the White House 290 times as general counsel for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
15. David McClure
McClure, former associate administrator for Citizen Services and Innovative Technologies, U.S. General Services Administration, visited the White House 292 times.
14. Mark J. Mazur
Mazur checked in at the White House 296 times while serving as assistant secretary for tax policy at the U.S. Treasury Department.
13. Kenneth Y. Choe
Racking up 337 visits is the former deputy general counsel and counselor to the Office of Health Reform, Department of Health and Human Services.
12. Phyllis C. Borzi
Borzi, assistant secretary for the Employee Benefits Security Administration at the U.S. Department of Labor, visited the White House 338 times.
11. John J. O’Brien
As the director of health care and insurance at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, O’Brien visited the 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. 345 times since 2009.
10. Caya B. Lewis
Lewis, counselor to the secretary for science and public health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, visited the White House 352 times.
9. Amy J. Turner
Turner, serving as a senior adviser for the Employee Benefits Security Administration, Department of Labor, visited the White House 360 times.
8. Helen H. Morrison
Former Deputy Benefits Tax Counsel at the Office of Tax Policy Helen Morrison visited the White House 366 times while working for the U.S. Treasury Department.
7. Catherine E. Livingston
Working for the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, Livingston visited the White House 372 times.
6. Daniel J. Maguire
Maguire, director of the Employee Benefits Security Administration at the U.S. Department of Labor, stopped by the White House 376 times.
5. Cynthia R. Mann
With 381 White House visits, Mann comes in at No. 5. She served as director of the Center for Medicaid and State Operations from 2009 to 2014.
4. Michael M. Hash
Serving as the director of the Office of Health Reform at the Department of Health and Human Services from 2011 to 2014, Hash is said to have visited the White House 390 times.
3. James C. Hoff
No information could be found on Hoff's position.
Inside Gov lists his official title as "not known." In its analysis, the group writes, "Interestingly, the person who visited the White House the third-most is someone we couldn't find any information on."
He visited the White House 411 times.
2. Marilyn B. Tavenner
As part of the Obamacare rollout, Tavenner served as the administrator of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services from 2013 to 2015. She visited the Obama White House 421 times. She resigned after the Obamacare online system was strongly criticized for being inefficient and full of glitches.
1. Jason A. Levitis
At No. 1 with 456 visits is Levitis, a senior adviser at the U.S. Treasury Department. He still holds the title.
