Ultra-liberal celebrity Rosie O'Donnell hit the stage during the GLAAD Media Awards in New York City on Saturday to give an award to performer, but what made a bigger splash was her use of mic time to issue a fresh round of verbal attacks against Republican President Donald Trump.
"Why am I here, truthfully?" she asked, according to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. "Well, first of all, I'm still vertical after Satan won. That to me is a major accomplishment for someone who suffers from major depressive disorder."
Hilton said that O'Donnell also seemingly began texting on her phone — and read aloud her keypad handiwork to the audience: "'F*** you, Donald. From the gays.' Sent!"
If there's a count being taken of the barbs O'Donnell and Trump have traded of late, it would seem the former host of "The View" is well out in front.
In early January, she called Trump “mentally unstable” and said he must be stopped; a week before he took office, O’Donnell said she fully supports “martial law” to prevent Trump’s inauguration; in late February, she led a protest outside the White House, telling the crowd that Trump is “going down”; and last month, O’Donnell compared Trump's election to the 9/11 terror attacks.
