A breathtaking cloud formation appears in the sky on the morning of 9/11
September 16, 2019
Incredible
A Florida man snapped an incredible photo on the morning of Sept. 11 during his morning work commute.
What are the details?
The photo featured a variety of clouds shaped like a firefighter and an angel.
Facebook user Matt Snow, a Florida schoolteacher, captured the image and shared it to the social media platform.
He captioned it, "It might be because today is 9/11 but this is the cloud formation I saw driving into work today. Doesn't it look a firefighter running with a hose and an angel with the sun perfectly behind it?"
Snow told WOFL-TV that he couldn't believe his eyes.
"I couldn't believe what I just saw," he said. "My wife and I are both teachers and we drive that road every morning with our kids. Out of all days, today it looked like that."
Close to 3,000 died as a result of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. Al Qaeda terrorists hijacked airplanes, crashing them into New York City's twin towers and the Pentagon. A fourth airliner, which crashed after passengers stormed the hijacked cockpit, was discovered in a field in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
Approximately 343 firefighters lost their lives during the 9/11 attacks.
