Elon Musk shocks the internet by agreeing with John Fetterman about this
January 12, 2024
Sweatshirt-wearing John Fetterman has had his share of bad takes and even worse gaffes, but it seems he may have just begun his redemption arc.
Fetterman criticized South Africa for bringing a case of genocide against Israel at the International Court of Justice for the war on Gaza and said that South Africa “ought to sit this one out.”
Fetterman added that he believed it was “appalling” for South Africa to bring the case, given the country’s history.
When asked for clarification on his remarks, Fetterman said in a statement that “South Africa should instead focus on the spiraling humanitarian cries on its own continent — like Sudan where more than 7 million people have been displaced with widespread atrocities.”
As the clip of Fetterman’s comments began to circulate on X, conservatives everywhere were scratching their heads at his sudden ability to make sense.
Even Elon Musk, who is himself from Johannesburg, South Africa, tweeted in response: “He is right.”
Dave Rubin is in agreement.
“In a bizarre twist, the sanest Democrat in the Senate on this thing is John Fetterman,” Rubin comments, shocked.
