More details are emerging about the strange story of the Turpin family, a seemingly normal family in California whose cover was blown when an emaciated 17-year-old girl escaped to tell authorities that she and her siblings were being held captive by their parents. Police officers found some of the children chained to their beds and eventually realized that seven of the siblings were adults.
