Gregory “Shoaib” Jones, who is running for Congress in Alaska in the Democratic primary, is a member of Muslims of the Americas, a radical group that has been under investigation since the 1970s.
Ryan Mauro, intelligence director for the nonprofit Clarion Project, joined Glenn on today's show to talk about his coverage of this story being ignored by the mainstream media. MOA is led by Pakistani cleric Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, who has been linked to terrorism, and the group claims to comprise 22 “Islamic villages” in America.
"In 1992, one of their secret camps, which was 100 acres, was raided in Colorado," Mauro said. "They found weapons, plans for terrorist attacks in there. So we know about the dual nature of this group."
