The irony in Matt Lauer's scathing interview with Bill O'Reilly over alleged sexual misconduct

Now that the cat's out of the bag over at NBC over allegations of sexual misconduct by longtime news anchor Matt Lauer, Pat was taken aback by an interview Lauer did several months back with Bill O'Reilly.

In the interview, Lauer grills O'Reilly about alleged sexual misconduct and it's taken on a new meaning since NBC announced Lauer's termination this morning.

O'Reilly had just been fired from Fox News at the time and Lauer was relentless as he grilled him over the allegations in an interview that was supposed to promote O'Reilly's latest book, "Killing England."

Lauer's sexual assault allegations go back to 2014 and the interview with O'Reilly took place in the fall of this year -- three years after the incident took place involving Lauer and an NBC staffer at the Sochi Winter Olympics.

Take a look.

Watch Pat's reaction to the confrontational interview above.
