Watch: ‘An epic undertaking’: This biblical ‘superhero’ is coming to the big screen

Pure Flix, the studio behind the “God’s Not Dead” series, is bringing the story of Samson to the big screen on Feb. 16.

CEO Michael Scott and “Samson” star Taylor James joined today’s show to talk about how they interpreted one of the Bible’s most memorable stories to create an epic film.

“They were looking for an iconic figure,” James said of his casting as Samson. Preparing to play a man strong enough to kill hundreds of Philistines and bring down stone pillars did involve a “couple of minutes in the gym,” he joked.
