WATCH: Shepard Smith wages a one-man-battle against President Trump over the migrant caravan

On "Pat Gray Unleashed" Wednesday, the guys discussed comments made by Fox News host Shepard Smith during his midday news broadcast Tuesday. Pat called Smith out and said he is waging a one-man battle against those who dare to ask questions about the migrant caravan that is currently making its way from Honduras toward the U.S.-Mexico border.

In response to a comment made by President Donald Trump on Tuesday, calling the caravan "an assault on the U.S. border," Shepard reported that the movement of thousands of migrants headed toward the U.S border is not an invasion.

"It is absolutely not an invasion, it's nowhere near the U.S. border," Smith said.

Smith spoke to the camera and attempted to paint a picture for viewers of a harsh journey that has inflicted physical and emotional distress on all of the peopled who have chosen to march.

According to Smith's report, one woman sprained her ankle but continued to march as she carried her own child, while a man said that his chest hurt every time he coughed.

Smith suggested that we leave politics out of the discussion for a moment and reflect back on what initially prompted the caravan of migrants to form.

"Let's take a look at how all of this really began and put politics aside, please," Smith said.

Pat lamented that even though there may be some good people in the caravan who are truly fleeing Honduras to seek refuge in America, there are also legitimate reasons to question the motives of people who are willing to come to this country and break the laws while knowing that we have every intention of turning them away.
