Watch: Texas Democratic congressman wants vote on impeaching Trump before Christmas
November 09, 2017
Rep. Al Green (D-Houston) said a “sense of duty” compelled him to call for the impeachment of President Donald Trump. The congressman introduced formal articles of impeachment last month that never made it to the House floor. On Wednesday, Green vowed to force a vote, although he didn’t give any details on how that would be done.
“Before Christmas, there will be a vote on the chief inciter of racism, bigotry, hatred, xenophobia, sexism, ethnocentrism,” Green said.
Glenn analyzed the infighting in the Democratic Party on today’s show. Green’s crusade won’t be successful, but it shows how liberals are flailing.
“I’m going to go out on a limb here,” Glenn said. “I think you need evidence or a reason to impeach a sitting president.”
