Liberal Host Says Brian Williams' Lies Aren't the Reason He Should 'Go Away' -- There's a Different Reason He 'Sucks

He violated his "sacred trust" — of talking about climate change all the time?

On his HBO show "Real Time" Friday night, Bill Maher tore apart suspended anchor Brian Williams and the "NBC Nightly News."

The main reason Maher was so mad: Williams talked about weather often, but not climate change.

Williams only spent 25 minutes all year discussing climate change, Maher noted, saying the lack of climate change coverage is, "why I never thought of Brian Williams as a reporter to begin with."

He also criticized Williams for airing feel-good stories and said that Williams' false reporting about his time in Iraq and New Orleans isn't the reason he needs to "go away" — he needs to go away because "'NBC Nightly News' sucks,” Maher said.
